It all started with three young siblings, educated in subjects as unrelated as cinema, geology and genetics, telling us how they’ve learned, from early ages, to perceive with curiosity, reverence and a flare of romanticism pieces that bear in themselves timeless centuries and History.

 

From different parts of the World, while keeping their business careers, Igor, Maria and Francisco Olho Azul have put together a three-party project, bridging their common fascination for Art and Antiques into a business.

 

Close to Gulbenkian, in the centre of Lisbon, we find a gallery where Contemporary Art blends with Antiques, and where a clear sense of detail and authenticity presides the sensible selection of pieces, each of them unique for its quality and character.

 

The manager is Miguel Botelho de Sousa, an experienced antiquarian, ruled by a strict sense of criteria, never forgetting that “chalk is chalk, just as cheese is cheese!”. Never disregarding the dynamics of this business, Cristina Meirelles invests on planning various events which, thematic or not, afford the expectation of a rich scenario in the way the past, present and future is displayed in different styles and beauty.

 

In a spacious and elegant area, the stylish arrangement conveys the feeling that each piece has a life and breath of its own.
